In Q3 2021, the top beauty retail applications on the iOS platform in Africa demonstrated diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Mazaya Stores experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 122 at the end of June and rising to 479 by the last week of September. This consistent growth highlights the app's increasing popularity throughout the quarter.

Think Dirty – Shop Clean had a more variable performance. Weekly downloads spiked at 551 in early July but then settled to a range between 23 and 124 for the remainder of the quarter. Active users also showed an initial increase, peaking at 839 in mid-July, but gradually decreased to 496 by the end of September. Revenue for the app fluctuated, with notable peaks of $57 at the beginning and end of the quarter.

Wanna Nails had a quieter quarter in terms of downloads, starting at 108 and reaching a high of 232 in early September before stabilizing. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 174 in late June and fluctuating, eventually ending the quarter at 71.

Shoppe LK showed a modest but steady performance in weekly downloads, beginning at 86 and reaching a high of 124 in mid-September. Active users saw a gradual increase over the quarter, peaking at 149 in mid-September.
